HELP HÔPITAL DE LA PAIX GO FASTER AND FURTHER

Making a donation to Hôpital de la Paix means providing concrete support to the 200 professionals at Hôpital de la Paix and their partners committed to the care and health of each individual. With your donation, you have the power to accelerate, or even bring to fruition, bold and promising medical projects.

Your generosity provides more resources for research, makes innovations in care more accessible and more quickly to as many people as possible, contributes to improving the well-being of patients and helps them live better with the constraints of their illness.

In particular, and very often, it is burn victims who need support the most. Burn patients requiring hospitalization require extremely in-depth care involving multiple medical specialties, constant monitoring, a large number of medications, serums and care procedures as well as operations if necessary to support the proper recovery of their body and its functions.

We observe in the field, with several parallel studies that highlight it : that there is a clear and distinct relationship between poverty (in the broad sense) and being a victim of burns. This poverty can be illustrated by :

- Living conditions that are sources of risk (for example, living in a home with a dangerous heating or electrical system)

- Inadequate access to education (for example, not having been informed of certain risks that can cause burns)

- Inadequate access to the health system (for example, with a burn whose condition has worsened due to a lack or absence of care)

- Risks related to the work performed (for example, to meet their basic needs, the individual performs a job that pays little and exposes them to increased risks of burns due to dangerous working conditions)

- Finally, a lack of financial means (for example, by preventing the individual from being able to protect themselves against burns using safety devices or investments).

Regardless of the socio-economic status of the individual, they can become a victim of burns - however, there is a link between poverty and burns that increases the risk of being burned.

Very often, and due to the crises that Lebanon has been going through for several years, burn patients are impoverished individuals who are unable to pay for the care provided either personally or with the help of coverage plans that have gone bankrupt or that they cannot afford.

You can therefore make a donation to help these patients. The Hospital's Administration is available at any time (Monday to Sunday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.) to provide you with information.
