With more than 200 professionals, Hôpital de la Paix, founded in 1996, is a leading healthcare facility in North Lebanon.
It offers care services generally found in a hospital (Maternity, Medicine-Surgery, Resuscitation, etc.), including some highly specialized ones (Burn Department with 33 beds and on 2 floors, Cath-Lab department, Trauma Center and Hyperbaric chamber, 1.5 Tesla Siemens MRI) as well as various modern support services (Laboratory, Blood Bank, Radiology, etc.).
A very significant innovation was the creation in 2011 of a burn unit on two floors (on the 8th and 9th floors), comprising 33 medical beds with laminar flow chambers. Each room was designed to be able to perform resuscitation, surgery and even dialysis sessions.
Our center was the first in the Middle East to practice cell therapy, which consists of applying sequential grafts of skin cells from samples taken from the patient himself, making him a central actor in his recovery, greatly promoting the speed of recovery as well as the success of care procedures.
In parallel, cell therapy is carried out (also an innovation in terms of protocols and care procedures) allowing the use of plasma extracts which, applied in a medically appropriate manner to the wounds by specialized professionals, will greatly and naturally help the patient to recover.
Everything is done to ensure that the patient recovers as best and as quickly as possible from his burns. This was also accompanied by the introduction of protocols for the management and treatment of patients with minor burns or those requiring a stay in the hospital after being discharged, as an outpatient in the Emergency Department.
The hospital serves all residents of the North and even all of Lebanon, with some coming from very far away to be treated at the facility. Open 24/7, our hospital guarantees equal access to care for all those who need it. We treat thousands of patients each year, both inpatient and outpatient, with expertise and kindness.
For us, caring for patients also means caring for our environment and our planet : Hôpital de la Paix has a solar panel park (nearly 500 solar panels of 550 and 575 Watts) and 3 giant solar batteries to ensure energy independence, quality care, and respect for Nature through concrete actions. At the same time, sustainable procedures and habits have been developed to act daily to respect the environment.
